most of the herdsmen behind the attacks in the country are from Mali, Chad and some Shua Arabs, all armed with AK 47s"- Chief Audu Ogbe, honorable minister for Agriculture.
Imagine, Chief Ogbe, attributing the senseless murderous activities of dare-devil Fulani herdsmen to foreigners.
How come Buhari and his ministers always make ridiculous statement when it come to important national issue??? Or does it mean that we don't have laws in Nigeria?
If they claim that the alleged Fulani herdsmen are foreigners,
The 1st question to ask is whether they are legal immigrants?
2nd question is: have they obtained their permit from the requisite authorities to carry on business in Nigeria?
3rd question: are the firearms in their possession licensed by the requisite authority?
Doesn't our law say illegal immigrants should be deported? Doesn't our law state that foreigners doing business in Nigeria without the requisite permit should be deported?
Isn't it a crime to be in possession of unlicensed firearms???
If the herdsmen are foreigners from Mali and other African countries must Nigeria produce a grazing land so that they can stop killing in a country that is not there's. This government has been traveling a lot, has PMB called on the authorities of this countries whose citizens are currently maiming and killing our people here in Nigeria.
Nigerians are being hounded, criminalized, incarcerated and arrested daily with spurious allegations of various magnitudes, then foreigners came with such prohibited weapons, all that is being discussed and suggested is how to appease them rather than arrest and charged for carrying unlawful military weapons. They graze forcefully and when approached, what do they do, they kill land owners indiscriminately and with impunity they rape women and ransack communities.
Now, Chief Audu Ogbe and the APC led government would want the affected states not to take actions when foreigners as alleged continue with their genocide. This same government, were busy chasing perceived enemies with state security apparatus. they heavily deployed all military and paramilitary arsenals to Rivers state because of mere Assembly rerun elections, funny enough they can no longer deploy the same war heads to dislodge Fulani herdsmen.
What a shame!!!!. Citizens are no longer save in their own country. Nnamdi kanu came in with weapon as alleged and he was arrested and detained. Fulani herdsmen from other countries came with military weapons, they became the Holy cow that can neither be arrested or even be disarmed. What a shame.
If they are illegal immigrants and haven't obtained the necessary documentations permits, then why do this government want to breach Our laws by opting to give them land in 9 States without verifying their status???
Except the alleged Fulani herdsmen are truly Nigerians. And if they are, then its no longer mere Fulani cattle grazing issue. Its a gradual implementation of long orchestrated agenda against the south and since government has continue to show weakness in carrying out her lawful responsibility, the southerners may resort to self-help then the road to perdition is inevitable.
