Credit: iStockInformation available to us reveals that officials of the Presidency have just landed in a private jet at the Port Harcourt International Airport with N5 billion cash for the purpose of funding the re-run elections in Rivers for Saturday, March 19, 2016.
The cash is “straight from Central Bank of Nigeria”, according to a source familiar with the situation.
Present at the airport, our source tells us, are about 8:30 pm on Friday, March 18, 2016 are the Babachir David Lawal, secretary to the Federal Government and Minister of Transport and former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mr. Aniedi Ikoiwak is also present at the airport where this cash is being handed over by officials of the presidency to chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The re-run elections are to fill 2 senatorial seats, 12 seats on the house of representatives, and 22 seats in the Rivers House of Assembly. Elections are taking place in 23 local government areas, 319 wards, and 4,442 polling units.
