Nigeria’s minister for transport, Chibuike Amaechi received a rousy welcome from supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) when he landed Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital on Friday, March 11.
Photos obtained from Linda Ikeji showed the supporters expressing their delight at seeing the immediate past governor of the state who stormed the airport with his entourage.
Amaechi was also all smiles as he acknowledged cheers from the supporters as he walked away from the airport.

Meanwhile, Amaechi has said that members of the Boko Haram terrorist group do not engage in beheading Nigerians.
He made the controversial statement while speaking with Gbenga Aruleba during an African Independent Television (AIT) programme, Focus Nigeria, on Friday.
Amaechi, who was speaking on the ongoing strife and killings in Rivers state, alleged that the Rivers people were being beheaded without naming their alleged assailants.
