IPOD : Kanu did not mandate any group to negotiate his release

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has declared that their detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu has not mandated anybody or group to negotiate his release.
The group which said this in a reaction to the statement credited to President Muhammadu Buhari that Nigeria would not tolerate Biafra also stressed that they would also not tolerate Nigeria.

According to their spokespersons, Emma Mmezu and Dr Clifford Iroanya who spoke for the organisation in a statement titled: ‘Response to Ohanaeze and Buhari’s disparaging remarks about Biafra on Al Jazeera’, IPOD said they are also not ready to tolerate the country.

“We wish to reiterate for record purposes that our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has not mandated Ohanaeze or any youth group to negotiate for his release.
“The agitation for Biafra is a long and arduous process and the entire IPOB family all over the world understands this approach as espoused by our detained leader.
“We have not come to merely agitate, we have come to restore or die in the process. Some people think we are joking or can be easily dissuaded from this divine path that God-Chukwu Okike Abhiama has mandated us to follow.

“Any negotiation on Biafra must be led by Nnamdi Kanu and nobody else. If roads, bridges and a few junior staff at Aso Rock are our problems as Biafrans, then IPOB worldwide can fund such infrastructural development alone and very soon, we shall do it. Our quest is Biafra- nothing more, nothing less.

“On the issue of Buhari’s Aljazeera interview on Biafra, we welcome his comments because Biafra would not also tolerate Nigeria. Lord Lugard created Nigeria not Chukwu Okike Abhiama, God Almighty. So, like USSR, it will collapse.
“We, the IPOB Worldwide have decided not to go back on the quest for restoration of Biafra. Nigeria is not bigger than USSR just as Buhari is not stronger than Michael Gobachev. Buhari can kill Biafrans as he did during the 1967 to 1970 civil war, but this time, it will not be the same,” the statement stressed.

DSS uncovers plan to abduct Kanu

Abuja - A plan to abduct leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has been uncovered by the Department of State Service, Vanguard reported.
The Pro-Biafra agitators’ plan was to forcefully free the detained leader of the IPOB.

The security agency unravelled the plan on the day the federal government was supposed to open it’s case against Kanu, who is facing a six-count treason charge alongside two other pro-biafra supporters.
Director of Public Prosecution, Mohammed Diri has stated that an investigation has commenced on the planned invasion.

UNIPORT LECTURES OPT-OUT OF RIVERS STATE RE-RUN ELECTION OVER WIKE'S WARNING

Some lecturers of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) who were listed to serve as ad hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the March 19 State and National Assembly re-run elections in Rivers State have opted out of the exercise over an alleged threat by the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike.
INEC had shortlisted about 300 lecturers from UNIPORT to serve in the election as ad hoc staff.

The lecturers, who met with the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Ndowa Lale, on Monday, said their decision to stay away from the exercise was as a result of the statement credited to the governor that those who planned to rig the re-run elections should be ready for the consequences.

Wike had told Lale that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had infiltrated the list of lecturers from the institution with the aim of rigging the re-run legislative elections through the imposition of politically compromised returning officers.
The governor had also claimed that one Dr Otu Ekpeyong and an APC chieftain in Asari-Toru connived to draw up a list of returning officers from the UNIPORT with the aim of rigging the re-run polls.

He had warned that lecturers who would allow themselves to be used by APC chieftains would face the wrath of Rivers people.
Addressing the gathering of over 300 lecturers on Monday, Ekpeyong described himself as a man of integrity who had witnessed many elections in the past and wondered why the governor should suspect that he was planning to rig the March 19 re-run elections.

Ekpeyong said he had taken a personal decision not to be part of the election.
“The vice chancellor gave me a job, which I did to the best of my ability. This (INEC ad-hoc employee) is an assignment I have done for over seven years and my integrity has never been in doubt.
“Personally, I am making a decision of not going anywhere (not to be part of the election),” Ekpeyong said.

Another lecturer, Dr. Ben Ihewosira, explained that he was also opting out of the Rivers State re-run elections, adding that the exercise had been politicised.
Similarly, Dr. Abdulrahman Megida, who is a senior lecturer in UNIPORT, specifically demanded that his name be expunged from the list of INEC ad-hoc staff for the polls.

According to him, “My name is synonymous to the All Progressives Congress and you know that the government here is PDP (Peoples Democratic Party). Based on that, I want my name to be expunged from the list.”
The vice chancellor had earlier advised the lecturers to stay away from the election if they were not sure of contributing to the conduct of a free, fair and credible election.

Lale pointed out that since INEC had not faulted the list, he would not withdraw it, adding that doing otherwise would mean authenticating the allegations against the lecturers, whose names were on the list.
“The university will not take it kindly with anybody who may want to rubbish its (UNIPORT) name during the forthcoming elections. I signed the list because I know the people on the list are people with integrity.
“But each of you should be sure of the decision you want to take. I want you all to be alive after the rerun elections on the 19th of March," Lake said.

After Phaedra Parks’ Emotional First Visit to See Apollo In Jail, Do You Still Think They Should Divorce?

On last night’s episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Phaedra Parks decided to take her young sons to visit their father, Apollo Nida, in jail for the first time. Conflicted about whether or not she was making the right decision, Parks flew to Philly with her mom and sons Ayden, 5, and Dylan, 2, in tow. From there, they drove to Fort Knox prison in New Jersey. Parks wasn’t even sure they’d be able to get in to see Apollo, so she waited to tell the boys where they were going. They were able to get in but not with the cameras.

After the visit, Parks expressed relief that it was all over. “I’m glad I can say now that it’s done,” says Parks. Nida is currently serving an eight-year prison sentence for fraud, and Parks is seeking a divorce. But it looks like Nida doesn’t plan to make that easy for Parks. “He did make a point that he’s not going to sign the papers I asked him to sign,” she told her mother after their visit. “Anything to prolong the process.”

But the vibes weren’t all negative during their visit. “Apollo was definitely happy to see us,” she said. “But, the kids were antsy. They didn’t have any toys.”
After such an emotional first visit, it doesn’t look like Parks and the boys have plans to return any time soon.
“I don’t know when I would do another visit,” she said. “It was a lot. We couldn’t leave when we wanted to leave.”

Awhile back, we polled our readers on what Parks’ next move should be and the verdict was divided. Thirty-three percent of those polled said “divorce him,” while 32-percent said “focus on co-parenting and 24-percent said “support him from a far.” As of right now, it looks like Parks is attempting to do all three.
Now that you’ve watched Parks struggle as a single mom trying to move on, have your thoughts changed on what she should do next?

I'VE ENLISTED NIGERIA IN SAUDI-LED ISLAMIC COALITION-BUHARI REVEALS ON AI JAZEERA

President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed that he has enlisted Nigeria in the Saudi Arabia led Islamic coalition fighting terrorism. This revelation comes even as reports in the media said that the Nigerian President refused to join the coalition while on his trip to Saudi late February.
Speaking on Al Jazeera in an interview aired on Saturday, March 5, 2016, Buhari said Nigeria has enlisted in the Saudi Arabia Islamic coalition fighting terrorism, clarifying that such step would help the country tackle extremism. “We are part of the Islamic coalition because we have got terrorists in Nigeria, which everybody knows and the terrorists claim to be Islamic,” he said. “So, if there is an Islamic coalition to fight terrorism, we will be part of it because we are casualties of Islamic terrorism.
“Boko Haram has declared loyalty to ISIS and ISIS is based in Islamic countries, and if there is a coalition to fight them why shouldn’t we be part of it, particularly when those fighting the country claim to be Muslims, although what they are doing is against Islam.”
When asked if non-Muslims would not feel that he is attempting to change the religious identity of the country, Buhari said: “Why can’t those Christians that complain fight terrorism in Nigeria or fight the militants in the south? It’s Nigeria that matters, not the opinion of the religious bigots.”
The declaration of the Independent Republic of Biafra in 1967 caused a civil war that resulted in the death of millions and the re-annexation of the republic to Nigeria in 1970.
The administration of President Buhari has always maintained that Nigeria’s unity is a priority for the country and that while peaceful pro-Biafran protests are welcome, demanding the separation of the Biafran territories is against the constitution.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO VICE PRESIDENT, PROFESSOR YEMI OSINBAJO

ELEME LOCAL GOVERNMENT CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAT 2016!!!

Worldwide, Women continue to contribute to social, economic, cultural and political achievement.
And we have much to celebrate today. But progress toward gender parity has slowed in many places.

The World economic forum predicted in 2014 that it would take untill 2095 to achieve global gender parity. Then one year later in 2015, they estimated that a slowdown in the already glacial pace of progress meant the gender gap wouldn't close entirely until 2033.

So how do we want to celebrate international women's day 2016.
We say by pledging for parity!
Everyone -men or woman - can pledge to take concrete step to help achieve gender parity more quickly-
Whether to help woman and girls achieve their ambitions,
Call for gender balanced-Leadership, respect and value difference, develop more inclusive and flexible cultures or root out workplace bias.
Each of us can be a leader within our spheres of influence and commit to pragmatic  action to accelerate gender parity.
Commit to take action to accelerate gender parity.
Globally, with individuals pledging to move from talk to purposeful action and -with men and women joining forces- we can collectively help women to advance equal to their numbers and realize the limitless potential they offer economics to world over. We have urgent work to do.
Are you ready to accelerate gender parity?

SPENDING TIME WITH GOD IS THE BEST!!

WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU?

GET WISDOM IN ALL THY GETTING!!!!

Prince Tony Momoh, is the former Minister of Information during President Ibrahim Babangida’s administration. In this media interview, the APC stalwart speaks on President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, recovered looted funds and sundry issues

How would you assess President Buhari’s administration, particularly on the economy?

You have heard the President said he is the one that Nigerians voted for and he is responsible to them not to me or you. He is not owned by anybody. He was there between 1983 and 1985, he has experienced it, he is the only one who came since independence to be President of Nigeria and succeeded. No other one, Tafawa Balewa wanted to be a broadcaster, he became Prime Minister, Alhaji Shehu Shagari wanted to become a Senator, he became President; Olusegun Obasanjo was in prison praying to be released, at the end of the day he became president, Late Yar ‘Adua wanted to retire to lecture in Ahmadu Bello University, he became President; Jonathan was taken from Bayelsa to Abuja and made Vice President and them later became Acting President and President. Buhari went into politics and wanted to be President in 2003, he failed, 2007 he failed and 2015 he succeeded. Do you think that this type of person will be rushed into doing things he don’t believe will make Nigerians grow? I can assure you No. There are three steps in Buhari’s scheme, S+S=P that is the equation. S is for security, he will secure Nigeria, the other S is for stability, he will stabilise Nigeria through infrastructural development and the outcome of security and stability is Prosperity and Nigeria will prosper. At the end of the day, if Buhari doesn’t perform, stone us because he is going to perform.

When people begin to appoint ministers for him, programme economic measures for him, begin to tell him what will happen in education and other ministries, you give the impression that he came to be President without preparing. I can assure you he is prepared to hold office by coming out with a book called project Nigeria and that book he has always had
since 2002 when he entered politics and he is going to implement this program.
He has a contract with every Nigerian, all the ethnic groups and I have said it, the South-East will be more in his party than any other group. Why? Because he is going to develop their area more than PDP ever did. Buhari knows where he wants Nigeria to be. We are talking of four years and it has not gotten to one year yet and people are saying he is very slow. One thing people don’t know is that those who are corrupt, those who did money laundering, those who diverted all sort of things, they know where the heat is. This BVN I don’t know how it works but it is revealing a lot of things, if you have one bank account, the thing will reveal all the commitments you have. I don’t know how it works but the government seems to be finding out where people have hidden money more than any other time in our history. I am not in that group, I am not carry out any investigation but a lot of things are coming out and a lot of things have been done.

He believes that anybody who took Nigeria’s money must return it, and should be punished for taking the money and denying the people of facilities they would have had if the way the money was used for them. Look at what is happening with arms, people went and collected billions of dollars and sat down to share the money and people where dying in the North-East, those who had no arms with them ran into Cameroon, they put them under court marshal and sentenced them to death and they didn’t give them arms. When they are dealing with such people, Nigerians are saying it is because they are in government. Those in government are the ones stealing the money, those in APC had no access so will you say because there was no APC among the PDP that had the opportunity to serve Nigeria that pocketed the money should not be dealt with. Buhari has said he is not against anybody but everybody must bear the consequences of their actions and when things are happening as media men find out why it is affecting your friend or colleauge!!!!!

WHO DOES IT BETTER?

NAJA FORMER PRESIDENT, GEJ

FORMER PRESIDENT RESPONSE TO FALSE ALLEGATION

My attention has just been drawn to a spurious online publication allegeing that I made comments on the state of the nation's economy.
This falsehood must have sprung from the writer's imagination, as I was neither at any forum requiring my intervention on the state of the economy, nor met with any group of newsmen, as claim in the write-up. I will simply urge Nigerians to disregard such fabrication, and rather conceratate on working for the good of our nation!!!!!!! GEJ......

WHO IS MORE CREATIVE, THE BUILDER OR THE ARCHITECT?

LET'S SEND CHIEF OLAKA NWOGU BACK TO THE SENATE

Coca cola is the world most circulating and acceptable soft drink.
What brought about it acceptability? Through the years, they have built their integrity based on costumers satisfaction. "Brids of the same feather flocks together". If brand like coca cola can endorse this candidate, it means they can put their World wide acceptance band at stake for him. If you have EVER drank Coca cola in your life, then you are indebted to this endorsement.
Let's send Chief Olaka Nwogu back to the Senate!!!

DISSENTING BUHARI'S AL JAZEERA INTERVIEW...... THE DISGRACE HAS RISEN A SECOND TIME.....BUHARI IS A DISGRACE!

On why he should continue to fund his children in
foreign schools while restricting foreign exchange for
most families that have pupils in schools abroad, he
acknowledges its “tough luck”
On presenting the “worst budget” ever, he blames it
on sabotage by technocrats, and also denies knowledge
of details of his budget when challenged on specifics,
such as amount budgeted for books for the VP, and the
Aso Rock Clinic. He accused the interviewer of assuming
better knowledge of his budget
On security votes, which had been source of
corruption, which we had been told were scrapped. he
defended the need for the security votes, and promised
to punish anyone found misappropriating the funds
On why no convictions since his much vaunted fight
on corruption, he queried the motives of his critics,
and why similar expectations were not made of
previous administrations
On whether Nigeria will join the Saudi Arabia led
Islamic Coalition Force Against Terrorism, he said YES,
which is in contradiction to what we were previously
told. When asked if this decision was insensitive to the
desire of Christians that make up 50% of Nigeria’s
population, he retorted that Christians complaining
should “Go fight terrorism in Nigeria, or fight militants
in the South”. Those complaining Christians he referred
to as religious bigots. Charles Adisa take note
On his promise to defeat Boko Haram, he was
declared a “Failure”, to which he angrily declared “I
haven’t failed, I haven’t failed, I haven’t failed…”. His
rationale was that Boko Haram now only has
capabilities to attack and kill only civilians, but not
police posts and military institutions.
On the killing of IPOB peaceful protesters by Nigeria’s
armed forces, he refused to watch the video when
offered. He accused the movement of “interfering with
movement of troops and the economy”, and declared
the movement as “Joking with Nigeria’s security and
Nigeria will not tolerate it”
The level of inconsistencies, ignorance and insensitivity
displayed by this president, for lack of better word, is
pathological
NIGERIA IS DOOMED!!!!!

RE-ELECT SENATOR OLAKA NWOGU COME 19TH MARCH 2016.

HAVE YOU MADE A MISTAKE CROSS IT

When I started using Biro in my primary school and I made a mistake, I would try hard to erase it. Sometimes I use chalk, but it later reappears. So I began to use saliva, it worked only to leave holes in my book, my teacher then used to beat me for being outrageously dirty. But all I tried to do was cover my errors. One day, a kind hearted teacher who love me so much called me aside.
Any time you make a mistake, just cross it and move on trying to erase it would only damage your book.
"But, I don't want people to see my mistake and lauge at me", I protested, "Trying to erase it will make more people know about your mess, and the srigms is for life".
Have you made a mistake, cross it and move on, that is take your mistakes to the cross of calvary, at the feet of Jesus, live it there and move on.
Don't try to create more irredeemable errors by trying within your power to erase it.

NIGERIA ALL MOUTH, NO ACTION

Go to Ghana, there is steady electricity, check Benin Republic they have steady light and even water pipied into every house Nigeria, the GIANT that supplies these countries gas for the power generation can't manage any hour of steady light nationally........ The whole of Abuja while being planned have no design for water(if planned, never materialised) to run to every house!!! Just seems stupid to me that alone will generate a lot of employment (construction, engineering, maintenance, repairs, tax........) So much money for the government.
Don't they just think?

IN ALL THY GETTING,GET WISDOM

Put a frog into a vessel, fill with water and start heating the water, As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog adjust its body temperature accordingly. The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the increasing temperature of the water. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog cannot adjust anymore. At this points the frog decides to jump out. The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because for has lost all it strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature. Very soon the frog dies. What killed the frog? I know many of us will say the boiling water. But the truth about what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when to jump out. We all need to adjust with people and situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust and when we need to move on. There are times when we need to face the situation and take appropriate actions. If we allow people to exploit us physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually or mentally they will continue to do so. Let us decide when to jump! Let us jump when we still have the strength.

TWO MAJOR NEWS HEADLINES IN RIVERS STATE

1: Buhari Government (the senate) to probe NDDC from it's inception till date
2: Governor Nyesom Woke frowns at abandoned project by the NDDC, calls for a probe of the agency's activities.
Recall that People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the newly founded People's Mega Party(PMP) managed the NDDC since it's inception.
Some APC members were within the period under reviews, also in the NDDC management.

NIGHTLIGHT (LOVE CONQUERS ALL(5)

The morning sun was piercing down with arrowheads. Yeye cut through the overgrown cassava plot. She was a gazelle of a woman. Only unhappiness has rubbed away her grace. It remained a wonder how she went about each day, her heart buried under such burden as hers. Because her matchet was short and blunt, she had to bend real low to work. Also, she needed more energy to cut through. At a point, she cut off a cassava stem pulled it out with so much force she crashed back with it. Staggering on her feet, she went on working and cursing. She heaped the cassava tubers on one side. The stems went the other way. Her little daughter, Ododo busied herself, packing everything to the tiny path running to their farm.                                                                                                                                      She brought down the matchet heavily on the next stem, so hard that the poor stick snapped off in two places. The matchet got through to her shin, giving her a cut.                  She stopped working, looked at the line of blood on her leg. Blood was dropping from the cut to the wet grass. The sight of her blood drops shattered her mind. Sitting in a heap of leaves in the wet grass, she began to cry. It was not really the pains from the cut that brought out these streams of tears, it was rather the pains, the memories of a drunken husband who took endless delight in bruishing her with  his fists, as it was last night. As it was also from the memories of living with a man who knew no shame, a man ho had no sense nor any promise of tomorrow.

NIGHTLIGHT (LOVE CONQUERS ALL) (4)

You're precious to me, oh my precious ornament. My own dearest beacon of hope. My heart forever warms for you, Forever with you my eternal burning log. My wren, the stump and back bone of Chief Ollor of Alu-ete.                                                                                  "May the hills echo it. Life after life, my words to you shall remain the only truth I ever told". Ollor concluded.                                                                                                             "So let it be, my iroko," she echoed.                                                                                            "So let it be, my wren," he concluded
It was said that a woman's worth was that of her husband. A man's worth was that of his land. The world was like a dancing girl, it dances a little while for everyone. Osila Abbey was happy that her eagle had got that proverbial dancing girl dancing for his house more often than most men in Alu-ete.                                                                                                    Long after he was gone from her hut, she sat alone on her bed listening to the beat of her heart. Somewhere in the distance of her heart she could hear the song, the one Ogbo-Omu-Chumu made in her husband's name long time ago when he began to cut his niche in the rock of Alu-ete.
Ollor, the great son of a great father
I only called to see how the wind blows over your roof.                                                             But you wanted to kill me with food,                                                                                            Meat and palm wine...                                                                                                                    Chei, I'll not come to your house again,                                                                                     Lest you drown me in palm wine...                                                                                               Remembering this song, she said to herself, "This roof shall never know the ugly face of hunger!" And she smiled into a new dawn.
